On the continent of Africa hope is valued as preciously as life. Civil wars, poverty, high morbidity and mortality rate among children and the elderly, as well as the spread of communicable diseases such as AID and tuberculosis are the current unfortunate trends of life on this continent - once known as the cradle of humanity and civilization.
In this painting hope is expressed in the form of a bright light illuminating the path that leads to the resolution of despair and the challanges of everyday life in Africa.
At the forefront of this painting there is a reflection of african faces exibiting differrent tones of emotions from hope and contentness to sadness.
